The organisation was formed to address the growing need for structured governance, transparency, and consistency across professional education initiatives operating internationally.
BOMEQP does not act as an awarding body and does not issue certifications or qualifications directly. Its role is focused on governance, coordination, quality oversight, and strategic management.

Why Independent, British Governance
BOMEQP is structured as a governance body, not a training or awarding organisation, by design. Separating who sets the standard from who sells the certificate removes the single most common conflict of interest in professional accreditation.
Basing that governance model in the United Kingdom — with its long-established tradition of independent professional regulation and rigorous, transparent oversight — gives our subsidiary bodies a credible, internationally respected foundation to build on.
BOMEQP is an independent group and is not a UK statutory regulator; our authority comes from the rigour of our own governance framework and the standards it holds our subsidiary bodies to — not from government appointment.
